Description Optimal grape ripeness is essential for good Pinot Noir so this fantastic example sources fruit from both sunny and coastal Languedoc vineyards. Slightly heavier than a Burgundy, Les Mougeottes Pinot Noir is both elegant yet approachable; loads of ripe fruit on both nose and palate, with savoury undertones and a rich, velvety mouthfeel. One third of the harvest is aged in French oak barrels for several months to add layers of complexity and subtle oak to the finished wine. Good acidity and highly enjoyable.
